What is the "Reel Me" competition?
The “Reel Me” competition invites students from K12-powered online schools to create a one-minute video sharing how their online school experience helps them discover their true selves.
Who is eligible to participate?
Any student enrolled in a K12-powered online school from kindergarten through 12th grade can participate. For students under 13, parents or guardians must submit entries on their behalf.
How do students who are 13 years old or under enter?

What are the themes for the video submissions?
Participants can choose from the following themes:
- My K12 Why: Explaining why online school is the perfect fit.
- Myth Busters: Addressing and debunking common misconceptions about online schooling.
- Flex Your Schedule: Demonstrating how the flexibility of online education allows balancing school with other activities.
- Future Focus: Sharing how K12-powered education is preparing them for future goals.
What is the deadline for submission?
All video entries and supporting information must be submitted by 5 PM (ET) on June 30, 2025.
What are the prizes for winners?
Prizes are awarded as follows:
- Judge’s Choice 1st Place: $250 (cash or Amazon e-gift card) for each grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12) per theme.
- Judge’s Choice 2nd Place: $100 (cash or Amazon e-gift card) for each grade band per theme.
- People’s Choice: $50 (cash or Amazon e-gift card) for one winner per grade, determined by public voting.
What are the technical requirements for the video submission?
- Videos should be in .mp4 or .mov format.
- Two versions are required:
- An edited version between 15 seconds and 1 minute in length.
- The raw, unedited footage.
- Videos should be filmed vertically (9:16 aspect ratio).
- Ensure subjects are clearly visible and centered.
- Participants should wear school-appropriate clothing.
- Avoid displaying last names in the video.
How can I submit my video entry?
Participants can submit their entries through the official “Reel Me” competition page on the K12 Enrichment website.
How will the winners be selected?
- Judge’s Choice: A panel of judges from Stride, Inc. will select winners based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall presentation.
- People’s Choice: Winners will be determined through public voting.
When will the winners be announced?
The announcement date for winners will be provided on the competition page after the submission deadline.

K12 National Cook-Off
Who can participate?
All U.S. students in grades 6-12, who attend a K12-powered school, are eligible to participate in the 2024 K12 National Cook-Off.
How do students who are 13 years old or under enter?
Parents or guardians of students under age 13 must register on behalf of their student.
When is my entry due?
To enter the competition, you must submit your recipe and photo of your dish by February 18, 2025, at 5 PM (ET).
What file format is accepted for my dish photo submissions?
Your three (3) photos can be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format and should not exceed 50MB in size. Photo should be uploaded in compliance with the competition requirements and should not have any editing to color or dish contents.
What ingredients are required in Round 1?
The recipe must include each of the following ingredients: a source of protein, an ingredient that starts with the letter “B”, an ingredient that adds crunch, an ingredient that is liquid at room temperature and a spice or herb.
When and where will the in-person K12 National Cook-Off finals take place?
The 2025 K12 National Cook-Off final in-person competition will take place on June 6, 2025, at the Kitchen of Purpose in Arlington, VA.

Who are the in-person judges?
A renowned panel of professional chefs will judge the in-person final round of the K12 National Cook-Off.
Chef Isabel Coss – Postre Chef, Food & Wine’s Best New Chef in 2023, the Chef of Pascual and Pastry Chef of Lutèce, both located in Washington D.C.
Chef Adam Snipes Hoffa – as seen on Chopped, Chef Hoffa is the Executive Chef at Pirouette Café & Wine Shop in Arlington, VA.
When will we hear who the Cook-Off winner is?
Winners will be announced on July 31, 2025 with the release of the final Cook-Off episode through the K12 Cook-Off website.

K12 Robotics Competition
Why is it saying I am ineligible to register myself/my student for the K12 Robotics League?
This may be due to the age you are entering if your student is under 13 years of age. Please ensure that if your student is under the age of 13, you as the parent are filling out the registration form for your student and that you are inputting your age as the parent or guardian.
Am I able to register for the K12 Robotics League if I do not have a team?
Parents or guardians of students under age 13 must register on behalf of their student.
Can I use the Robotics Software on a Mac computer?
No, the VRT software is only compatible with Windows PC at this time.
