K12 National Cook-Off
Who can participate?
All U.S. students in grades 6-12, who attend a K12-powered school, are eligible to participate in the 2024 K12 National Cook-Off.
How do students who are 13 years old or under enter?
Parents or guardians of students under age 13 must register on behalf of their student.
When is my entry due?
To enter the competition, you must submit your recipe and photo of your dish by February 18, 2025, at 5 PM (ET).
What file format is accepted for my dish photo submissions?
Your three (3) photos can be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format and should not exceed 50MB in size. Photo should be uploaded in compliance with the competition requirements and should not have any editing to color or dish contents.
What ingredients are required in Round 1?
The recipe must include each of the following ingredients: a source of protein, an ingredient that starts with the letter “B”, an ingredient that adds crunch, an ingredient that is liquid at room temperature and a spice or herb.
When and where will the in-person K12 National Cook-Off finals take place?
The 2025 K12 National Cook-Off final in-person competition will take place on June 6, 2025, at the Kitchen of Purpose in Arlington, VA.

Who are the in-person judges?
A renowned panel of professional chefs will judge the in-person final round of the K12 National Cook-Off.
Chef Isabel Coss – Postre Chef, Food & Wine’s Best New Chef in 2023, the Chef of Pascual and Pastry Chef of Lutèce, both located in Washington D.C.
Chef Adam Snipes Hoffa – as seen on Chopped, Chef Hoffa is the Executive Chef at Pirouette Café & Wine Shop in Arlington, VA.
When will we hear who the Cook-Off winner is?
Winners will be announced on July 31, 2025 with the release of the final Cook-Off episode through the K12 Cook-Off website.

K12 Robotics Competition
Why is it saying I am ineligible to register myself/my student for the K12 Robotics League?
This may be due to the age you are entering if your student is under 13 years of age. Please ensure that if your student is under the age of 13, you as the parent are filling out the registration form for your student and that you are inputting your age as the parent or guardian.
Am I able to register for the K12 Robotics League if I do not have a team?
Yes! If you are registering as an individual, we will pair you with a “RoboBuddy”.
Can I use the Robotics Software on a Mac computer?
No, the VRT software is only compatible with Windows PC at this time.
When will the instructor training be available?
We are finalizing dates for instructor training, and will have more details posted on our robotics landing page at the end of October. We will also be sure to email out all details regarding instructor training to participants and instructors once the schedule is finalized.

K12 Game On Competition
Who can participate in the competition?
The competition is open to all U.S. students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
How do I register for the competition?
To enter the competition, visit our official website at enrichment.K12.com/GameOn and follow the registration instructions. Be sure to complete your registration by the deadline: November 18, 2024, at 5 PM (ET). Parents or guardians of students under age 13 must register on behalf of their student.
Will I know if my entry was approved or not?
You will receive an email from notifications@votigo.com notifying you when your entry has been approved. Should you have any additional questions, please email the competitions team at competitions@stridelearning.com.
What types of games can be submitted?
Participants can submit their ideas for an educational video game. We are not accepting ideas for physical or board games at this time.No game ideas promoting violence of any nature will be accepted.
What are the judging criteria?

How will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced on our official competition website and through our social media channels. Participants will also be notified via email.
Can teachers and parents assist students with their projects?
Yes! Teachers and parents are encouraged to offer support and guidance during the competition. However, the final work should mostly be the student’s own.

K12 Photography Competition
Why is my entry or submission not showing up in the gallery?
All entries are reviewed before being displayed in the gallery to make sure they meet competition guidelines. This process can take up to five business days, so don’t worry if your submission doesn’t appear right away.
Will I know if my entry was approved or not?
You will receive an email from notifications@votigo.com notifying you when your entry has been approved. Should you have any additional questions, you can reach out to the competitions team at competitions@stridelearning.com.
How many entries can I submit?
You can submit an unlimited amount of entries. All entries must be received during the Competition Entry Period.
How do I submit a photo if I am 13 years old or under?
Parents or guardians of students under the age of 13 must submit entries on behalf of their student.
Are there any size requirements or file format requirements to submit my entry?
Yes, your photo can be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format and should not exceed 50MB in size. Photo must be taken by you as the entrant, and can be in color or black and white, and should be uploaded in compliance with the competition requirements.
Do I retain the copyright to my submitted photos?
By submitting your photo in the competition, you consent to assign and transfer all rights, title, and interest in and to the photo, including, without limitation, all copyrights to K12 (Sponsor). The Sponsor may publish and/or promote photo, or a portion of a photo. If a photo, or a portion of photo is selected for publication and/or promotional purposes, it does not imply that it is a winning photo in this competition.
When will we hear who the photography competition winners are?
Winners will be announced on October 30, 2024 through the photography competition official page at enrichment.k12.com/photo-competition/. Winners will be notified by email, or telephone, and/or U.S. mail within 5 business days of the Winner Reveal and may be required to fill out some requirement paperwork within seven days of the date specified on notification, along with some sort of video testimonial about your competition experience, or an alternate winner may be determined.
How are the photography winners determined?
At the conclusion of the competition, winners will be determined by a panel of judges and public voting. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and People’s Choice winner in each grade level. Public voting will determine one People’s Choice winner in each grade level.

When will public voting open for the Photography Competition and how do I vote?
Public voting will happen through the Photo Competition landing page throughout the Judging Period (effective 9 AM (ET) on August 27, 2024, through 5 PM (ET) on September 27, 2024). Any individual will be eligible to vote and will be allowed one vote per day during the voting period.
