Competition Details

Eligibility

Any K12-powered student in grades K–12! (Parents or guardians must enter on behalf of students under 13.)

Entry Deadline

Submit your video and all supporting information by 5 PM (ET) on June 30, 2025.

A panel of Stride, Inc. judges will select one 1st-place winner per grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12) for each theme—that’s 16 total 1st-place winners!

Entry Requirements

  • Video entries can be in .mp4 or .mov formats and should include 2 versions:
    • An edited version that is a minimum of 15 seconds and not more than 1 minute in length.
    • The raw original, unedited video footage.

Your video entry should:

Ensure that the subject of each shot, whether people, pets, or objects, is clearly visible and centered in the frame.

Be filmed vertically (9:16).

Show off your unique interests and personality.

Show your best (selfie) face.

Wear school-/work-appropriate clothing.

Show us your school space or where you like to do school best!

Your video entry should NOT:

Say or show any last names—use first names only (unless you are talking about your teacher).

Wear any logos EXCEPT K12 or school logos. 

Hide your face.

Include anyone you have not gotten permission from to be in the video.

Use AI for any part of your video.

Judging Criteria

A panel of judges will determine one winner per grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12) for each theme winners based on:

This category evaluates the overall creativity demonstrated in the video submission. Judges will assess the innovative ideas, storytelling techniques, and unique presentation styles utilized in the video.

Judges will evaluate the originality and sincerity of the response to the chosen prompt. Emphasis will be placed on the genuine expression of thoughts, feelings, and experiences conveyed in the video.

This category assesses the technical execution of the video, including factors such as filming techniques, editing skills, and overall production quality. Judges will consider the video presentation’s clarity, coherence, and professionalism.

Submissions must be received by 5 PM (ET) on June 30, 2025.
