Does your student love Minecraft? Join our exciting K12 Minecraft Education Build Challenges where K12-powered students in grades K–12 can showcase their creativity. Whether a seasoned builder or just starting out, our challenges are designed to inspire and engage students of all levels.

Enter the K12 Paws and Hearts Minecraft Build Challenge!
Design a heart-filled Minecraft world where pets are the stars. Imagine heart-shaped dog parks, cozy cat cafés, and magical stables that spread love everywhere. Show us how you can build a world full of paws, hearts, and kindness!
Entry Period: Feb. 3–Mar. 2, 2026
Public Voting: Mar. 3–17, 2026
One winning build will be selected from each grade band: K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. Each winner will receive a $25 Amazon e-gift card. Winners will be chosen by public vote.

The K12 Magical Winter Build Challenge is now closed!
K12-powered students in grades K-12 were invited to design and build a magical winter-themed world in Minecraft Education.
Entry Period: Dec. 2, 2025–Feb. 2, 2026
Public Voting: Feb. 3–17, 2026
One winning build will be selected from each grade band: K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. Each winner will receive a $25 Amazon e-gift card. Winners will be chosen by public vote.
Vote for your favorite ‘Magical Winter’ Minecraft Education build(s) from February 3 through February 17.
Anyone is eligible to vote up to once per day.
How it Works
Build & Submit
Participating students should follow the build guidelines, and/or theme, pertaining to the K12 Minecraft Build Challenge they are entering. Open to K12-powered students in grades K-12.
Vote
Vote Following the challenge entry period, public voting will take place for a short duration in which anyone can vote up to one time per day.
WIN!
One winner per grade band (K-2nd, 3-5th, 6-8th, and 9-12th) with the most votes will be selected as the challenge winner. Winners will receive a $25 Amazon E-gift Card!
